I live in Chico Cal , I wanted to know where I can get my dog tested ?? I want to know if she will pass the temperament test ??? Anyne know where I can take her ? How much are they ?

The American Temperament Test Society (at www.atts.org) has probably the most official test (you can add the "title" TT after your dog's name if it passes). Another good one is the AKC's Canine Good Citizen. It has a temperament test section and it also has a basic obedience section. If you and the dog pass the CGC, they get CGC after their name. The AKC's test is usually less than $10 with a $5 if you want a certificate. The ATTS is a bit more ($20ish, if I recall, but check the website below). All three of my dogs are CGCs and as soon as there is a ATTS temperament test nearby, I'll have them done as well. Very good to do as it shows responsible ownership.

What are you looking for?Different organizations are testing for different quality traits.Schutzund tests are for more aggressive types,and they will usually score high.AKC/Obedience tests are usually for a more submissive animal.Either path you take,if your dog doesnt score well,thats o.k.Behavior modifications can be done to make your dog be the best that you want him to be,WITHOUT abusing or hurting your pet.Shop around.
