I have heard that cutting out carbs will just eventually make you gain more weight when the are added back. I would recommend counting calories,A Book I have says to multiply your current weight by 7 and that is how many calories you should consume a day. For every pound you loose subtract 10 calories from there to continue loosing weight. Exercise regularly and take into consideration that you are 5"11 Best wishes!!

When you're 14, I know it's pretty hard to have people telling you things that don't sound like fun, but really the best thing you can do is to exercise more. Make a deal with yourself that you'll walk or ride a bike or play some sport at school or with friends, and that for every hour you spend sitting in front of the TV or computer you'll spend some time up and moving around. At your age it isn't such a good idea to diet, because you need food to grow and stay strong, and it sounds as if you are destined to be pretty tall. There are small changes you can make that will help a lot to keep you from gaining any more unwanted weight, and will probably help you lose weight. If you drink soda, stop. Try to drink more water. Avoid fried things, like french fries and potato chips. If you eat desserts or snacks, cut down by only having them once a day or every other day. Try to eat slowly so your body has time to notice you're full (it takes a while for your brain to figure out you've eaten enough, and if you eat fast or just keep eating until you feel "full" you'll probably eat too much). After you finish dinner, don't eat anything for the rest of the evening (night time snacking can make you gain weight easily). Don't try to lose weight quickly, just make small changes and stick to them, and you'll begin to notice improvements that will last. Best of luck to you.

Some safe ways to lose weight are as follows!
Excercise at least 30 minutes ever day
Eat a little less
Eat smarter! Include lots of fruits and veggies in your diet
Play DDR! Don't know what it is? Go to your local arcade!
Go for walks (weather permitting)
And if after a while, you don't notice any changes you can always ask your doctor for help and advice.

here's a good tips for you
exercise everyday like jogging around the block
skip meals. dont eat until your're full
eat fruits at night if your hungry.
drinks lots of water and stop all the fast food and chocolate.
