My father puts his girlfriend before never calls me. I live with my mom she puts her stress on me and its really eating at me. See a doctor. They can give you medication.

I tried to commit suicide once. I was in pretty bad shape, just like you are, at the time. One of the things a doctor said to me was "the medicine is not going to change the problem." He was right. The medicine will helped, because it will lesson your pain, but it won't fix it. That doesn't mean that things can't or won't get better. They've gotten so much better for me. But its been a long, tedious walk to get my life better. I did counseling, and that was alot of work. Some times, I was just getting through the day. ok, sometimes I still am, but I don't hurt like that anymore. I like who I am now, I have a good job, two beautiful boys who I'm managing to be a good mom to, and getting married in two weeks to a honest, loving, caring and reliable man. So, my point is I guess, that I wish I had gotten help sooner, instead of trying to end my life. It was a difficult thing to live down, and it would have been horrible to have missed out on all the blessings my life has had since then. So find help. If the first person you turn to doesn't help, find someone else. Your worth it!

You need to let your Mom know how you feel. The chemicals in your brain are not adjusted, it makes you think a bout taking your life, but you don't really want to. I used to feel like you and I am on medication now and don't feel depressed anymore. There is a place called the MHMR. It stands for a Mental Health organization that can help steer you in the right direction for free. Look it up on Google, find the nearest center near you. Tell your Mom you found some free help. Do know, depression is treatable. Once you feel better, everything gets better. You'll probably get that boyfriend too once you're smiling again!

You have alot going on, first it would help to get yourself into therapy, set up an appointment, see how comfortable you are with that person, if your not then try another till you find one your comfortable with. Next if your so severely depressed you really should be seeing a pshyciatrist, they can give you an appropriate diagnosis and give you medications to treat you. This will help with your mood, but long term therapy will help you work on some of the other things going on.

See a doctor as soon as possible, and ask to be referred to someone specialising in treating distorted body image; phone NOW! Then view: http://www.relax7.com and the blogs of Shan Eris on "tackling depression" at www.myspace.com and practice one for 20 minutes daily. Also see: http://beattheblues.info/? and www.depression.com/- Don't read the beauty magazines; they doctor the photos with computers, and very few females look anything like that, but you have won trophies, so obviously others think you are attractive. Stop comparing yourself unfavorably with those who you think look better than you; it must always end badly, as you get older, if you continue.

You need to start talking to someone like a Dr. or couselor or even someone at church. You need to reach out and allow somone to help you. Suicide is not the answer it's just a quick one way ticket out of a life, a life that could be wonderful for you if you just give it a chance. What do you have to loose?

Even though your parents are too caught up right now in their own problems does not mean they don't love you they are just lost in their own world but if they knew that you needed them and if they knew what this was doing to you then they would realize that they need to change.

Life does get better but you need to give it a chance. You need to realize that you all you have to do is ask for help.

I would encourage going to talk to a psychologist. I went through a very difficult time recently, and I did. It was really helpful to let all of the thoughts that were drowning me drain out by sharing them with someone else. He could also give you a med that is right for you, if he/she feels you need them. Good luck.

your regular doctor might be able to start you on an antidepressant. if it's really bad, though, he or she may feel more comfortable setting you up with a psychiatrist who can prescribe you the meds.
