Do not attempt to paint your tent. Instead, here are three options:
Option #1: Check with the tent manufacturer to see if you can get a different colored rain fly for your model of tent. You'll have to pay for it, of course, but it might be your only option if the sight of your tent is really that repulsive. I don't know what brand of tent you have, but some companies will allow you to customize your tent colors. You should be able to get just a rain fly without purchasing a whole new tent.
Option #2: Just deal with it. I go camping a lot, and I can honestly say I have never scrutinized the appearance of anyone's tent colors before. Maybe there are some more judgemental campers out there, but I really doubt it. A tent is a tent. It's for sleeping in. At night, in the dark, you can't tell what color it is anyways. If it really bothers you, always camp in the back country where there are no other people, or camp in a densely wooded area where your tent is not visible to passers by.
Option #3: Make sure to always choose a campsite next to someone who's tent is much uglier than yours. I like to use this method with my old, ugly bike. If I park it in a rack next to one that's just extremely hard on the eyes, it makes mine look sort of nice.

The color of the fabric is IN not ON the fabric. There is nothing that you can do to change the color that will not have a significantly negative effect on your tent. You might try finding a rain fly that fits your tent that is in a color that you like. With the rain fly in place, it will hide the color of the tent pretty well. Other than that, I'd say that you should consider getting another tent if the color is that offensive to you.

Unfortunately there's nothing that will work with the nylon. If it were a canvas tent you could do it easily but not with the nylon.
Have you thought about some sought of cover, maybe hang some flags on the outside, banners, stickers...... just some ideas.....
Cheers, ToNy!

At Lowe's? Ick! i assume if I had to purchase paint there it would may be the Valspar. They used to hold Olympic, and that's by a ways the suited paint I even have used yet regrettably, they no longer carry that type. on your mattress room I propose a scrub able flat, indoors water-based paint. probable the Eggshell. to no longer severe of a sheen there. For the door and trim, use a semi-gloss water based. those aspects are those which will want scrubbing each and every now after which as that section gets touched allot with hands. you would be waiting to bathe semi-gloss paint as much as you desire and it won't scrub off.

No, you cannot. There is no permanent paint that I am aware of that can be used for this purpose. You might be able to find an ink that could stain the fabric.
