my girl found the recipt to her engament ring, so she's expecting a ring but she doesnt know when will she get. but how should i pop the question to her, i live in lower manhattan (NYC,NY)

surprise her. invite all your friends, family and coworkers to a restaurant. tell your girl to meet you 30 minutes after you told all the guests to show up. greet the guests and have them hide. then go the bathroom and slip the ring on to the back of your thong. when she gets there, everyone will come out and yell surprise. then you walk up to her and ask her if she'll marry you. finally when she asks for her ring, you drop your pants and shake that thong in her face. she'll be so surprised and touched.

Ahh, the devious questions...I like!
Everyone has that friend the girlfriend really hates....the guy who borrows money, always needs something, and is irresponsible.
Get this guy to come by and ask about the ring you put on your credit card for him (or paid for). He needs a good irresponsible story about how he just met this chick and they are soul mates (or got her pregnant and wanted to get married before she shows).
Make sure your lady is there for the story.....and make sure your buddy has a good story. Tell her you didn't want to tell her you bought the ring for your friend....and the whole story about how he is going to pay you back a little from every paycheck. When he is there, hand him the box without the ring in it....and make sure he gets out of there quick!!
Now plan a little party with friends to celebrate your buddies engagement. You will need to beg and plead with her to attend, because I'm sure she will still be upset the ring was not hers. Once you get there, wait till everyone is there.....get everyones attention by proposing a toast......Then pop the question, in front of all your friends.....She should be really surprised!!
Make sure you propose soon after, since if you do it right, she is really going to be pissed, and make your life hell.......but you will have a great story to tell.

This was a danergous question knowing many women were going to see it! Truthfully though, no roses or carriage rides (over used and not original). No meeting each other at the top of the Empire State Building, if didn't work for Deborah Kerr, I wouldn't recommend it.
Maybe go for a ferry ride, water tends to make everything more romantic. Or surprise her at work and "kidnap" her to her favorite restaurant for lunch. Just do something that the both of you can relate to! Pop the question somewhere where there's a history. Good Luck!

hide it somewhere where she'll least expect it.
Take her out and treat it like any other date so she won't expect anything special, then pop the question
take a walk in central park
go to the today show and propose right then and there. hold up a sign that will get Al, Matt, or Ann's attention then ask her. make sure she goes with you first

I always think it is cute when people go to dinner and they get the restaurant to put the ring in her favorite dish she may expect it there but not like that or huge public proposals like bllboarsd or airplane writing things or megaphones a girl love that good luck and congrats

several ideas take her out to eat then while drinking champagne in the carriage ride through the park ask her to marry you ,, or have them put it ion the sony screen at times square or call the david letterman show or another in town and they could help you propose like during the top ten list he could say and the number ten reason you should get married is because the man next to you is holding your ring and they call your seat numbers E-Mail them what can it hurt

I know most people say to ask her in a crowd, but that really puts pressure on her. If you know she will love it, then go for it, but otherwise just talk a walk in the park and pause, kneel down, and ask her. Very romantic. Good Luck!

You may do this in public or in private. If you're going to do it in public, be sure to let Management (of where ever you're going to do it) in on it. They usually love this sort of thing(good publicity). If you want to do it in private, you can do it at home or over a quiet romantic dinner or at the park. What you say is "would you consider becoming my wife?" Or "will you be my wife?" Or "I Love You & you would make me very happy if you would consent
to be my wife?"You get the idea.

Well, since she already knows you're going to do it, make sure you surprise her as to WHERE you do it. Try showing up to work with flowers, and getting down on one knee in front of her co-workers.
