I get depression ALL the time. So i know exactly how you feel. What i usually do is lie down on my bed, and just either write down my thoughts, and talk aloud to myself about the situation, and why im feeling this way. I took a quiz and i got a 63% of the time i feel left out, which is 100% true. You should try to make yourself laugh, or just call a friend, and tell them how you feel. Tell someone other than yourself. You cant keep the fact that your feeling depressed a secret forever, so let someone know how you feel.

Do this: drive to your fav store and buy a few things you always wanted. I am sure you will be occupied for a lil while. Then go home, call your boss and take a couple weeks off, tell him/her that you need some time off to end this depression. Now, call a travel agent to plan a trip to a place you always wanted to go. Pack the things you just bought, get on the plane, Vola! You are one happy person.

Take megadoses of Vitamin C.
Get help, or change your environment.
Look for inspiration in life.
And understand that depression can be a good thing. Most people suffer in life. The concept of being happy and smiley is unnatural for most people...but it doesn't hurt if you can do that.
Depression has created great leaders, thinkers, scientists, artists. Dig deep within those sentiments and find your calling from that.

When someone comes up with that, they are going to make a ****LOAD of money. Right now, though, we don't have one answer. There are many different types of depression, and they are all treated differently. The trick is finding which one works best a specific patient.

See a doctor, and ask to be referred for counselling. Since medication can take a while to take full effect, practice daily for at least 20 mins. one of the techniques to be found in: http://www.relax7.com/7.php and in the blogs of Shan Eris on "tackling depression" at www.myspace.com Many people find that they can learn to cope, without medication, by using those methods, and they are invaluable in times of adverse life events. i was watching on 60minutes.yahoo.com and a surgeon now have a procedure where they place this device into a certain area of your brain.. immediately after they did this, treatment-resistant depressed people all of a sudden got very happy. i don't know the specifics of how it works, but that's the best cure they have so far. they use like a pacemaker with it. but if you turn that pacemaker off, the depression comes back.

It depends, mine was medically induced. Seek professional help, see a therapist and talk it out or get anti-depressants. Surround yourself with the people you love and the people who make you smile. Get physically active, that has an amazing impact on your mood and will definately lift your spirits.
Smile, things will get better and you deserve it :)

You have to talk to someone...........you might also need to see a psychiatrist for meds........do not be embarrassed. Wouldn't it be great if you could be back to your old self just by talking to a therapist and taking a pill????Best of Luck!!!
