I love cats!! I have three of them. Anyway, make sure if it's really small to put it in a small room so it's not overwhelmed when it reaches your house. Make sure you have all the right stuff (litter box, wet and dry food, blankets, etc.). When it gets used to the room( I suggest a bathroom), which should take a couple days, let it roam around your house but always keep an eye on it cause kittens are very curious!! Good luck!

I STRONGLY suggest that you get two kittens so that your new kitten has play-mate. Otherwise, your kitten may become more desturctive than you would like! I have homed a series of cats over the last several years, and the only 'unsucessful' case was when I brought just one cat into my home! Having said that, there WERE other cats in the house at the time, and the new kitten would be wanting to play while the older cats wanted to sleep. Having said that, cats are social creatures. They have an undeserved reputation for being soiltary animals, but in the wild, they tend to live in dens, suggesting that they are much more social than their reputation gives them credit for!

The kitten sounds so precious!
Make sure to have a litter box, food, and water waiting. You might want toys too, but I consider those superfluous: My husband and I got toys for our kitties. And the cats ignore them in favor of paper wads.
Don't pressure the kitten into accepting attentions he doesn't want. He may be nervous about being in a new house. So after he knows where the food and litter are, leave him alone. He may hide for a bit, but after that he will come out to explore.
If he wants to be petted, sure, pet him! And another hint: Most cats like to have their chins scratched.
Good luck!

Congrats
Make sure you have all the goods ie: litter box, dishes and toys. If you have a spare room are a quiet room set everything up in there and put the kitty in that room leave the door open just a little and let the kitty sniff and come out when he/she is ready. Let the kitty explore and become comfortable with out you interfering. Good luck

You should show it to one or two rooms at first, then gently expose it room by room to the rest of your house!!!! Play with it constantly and always make sure it has plenty of food and water!!!!!!!!!!
