I am just asking because that is what my son mostly drinks.

We go thru 2-3 gallons a week.

No. It doesn't contain fat and although it has calories, you could consume a 1/2 gallon of milk and not be near the marks of calories and fat in McD's food. I hardly suspect that you'll be drinking gallon upon gallon of milk, and even if you did, you surely wouldn't do yourself that much harm (compared to binging on McD's or chocolate, etc...)

It's an interesting question. If you're considering dieting, fat free milk is a good source of protein and calcium. It's much better for you than whole milk!

Hope that answers your question(???)

There are calories, but fat free milk, of all things, is extremely healthy for you. It promotes metabolism in a sense and whatever calories you intake aren't of the bad sort. You need the calcium in milk, not to mention the vitamin D to absorb said calcium.

Actually, "Fat-Free" is just a label. By law, for a product to be labeled "Fat-Free" it simply has to contain less than .5 grams of fat per serving. so, say you drink two servings of "Fat-Free" milk, there you have it, 1 gram of fat. So, ultimately, "Fat-Free" milk, when drank in extreme excess, can be fattening.

There is obviously no fat in it, but it does have some calories and carbs. What that means is, if you drink it and don't get any exercise, it can add weight. However, the benefits of drinking it, like protein and calcium, far outweight the few calories. As drinks go, it's one of the best.

Yes the milk is fattening because the label are not always true.

Anything, if eaten/drunk in large enough quantities, is fattening. All 'fattening' means is that its caloric content exceeds what is normally used through body processes and exercise.

fat free milk is 90 calories per serving... i would say no, its not fattening, unless you have 20 cups a day.

Anything can be fattening if you consume enough of it. I wouldn't worry too much about a growing boy though.

Yes, it can be. Anything that contains calories, and is consumed in large enough quantities can be fattening.
