I am sure that the groomer will have had experience with dealing with agressive dogs. Sometimes if the dog is too agressive they will charge you more though. But with your dog being a small one it might be easier to handle. I would tell them ahead of time of course that you fear your dog will show agression.

I'm sure they have all dealt with aggressive and cranky dogs before yours. They can put a muzzle on him so that he doesn't bite any of the staff. Call the place you are going to go to and tell them about your dog. If they don't have any experience with aggressive dogs, ask for references to other places who have had dogs with the same problem as yours.

If your dog will not let you groom him, chances are he is not going to let a professional groomer groom him either, especially if he has a tendency to bite, most groomers probably will not be willing to take that chance. I would definately discuss this situation with your veterinarian to see what he/she can recommend. Good Luck.

if he is really that aggressive then petco probably won't be able to do him. They are allowed to use muzzles, but whats the use if he won't let them get it on him? I would recommend you try a vet for sedative grooming.

i have two pomeranians. been there, done that. i almost had my female pom drugged just to get her nails clipped. the vet assured me that it was not necessary and took her to the back ( i went with them) she never struggled, and got her nails clipped without fighting back "AT ALL". i would not have believed it if i had not seen this with my own eyes. same with the vet. and groomers.i think they seem to know they are there for a reason. my female pom. is a 6lb blond sweetheart. my husband is a 6ft. 3 " tall, not a small guy, and together we could hold her down to even clip her nails. she would just flip out. she would even nip at both if us. at each nip she would lick and kiss at us,almost at the same time. i know she didn't want to fight us, it seemed she couldn't help herself, and believe us we really got stern with her, but it just wasn't going to happen. try going to the groomer just for a bath to start. explain your situation. don't worry about how it sounds. this is about you guys. watch how it goes. don't let him see you, that helps to. I'll bet you'll see the same thing we did. they know they have no choice and seem to give into the procedure, i swear. the best thing, after wards, they love, love, love being all clean and pretty. they know, i promise you and they are noticeably happier. take a try. just try one time, you don't want to be figthing him yourself forever. it makes you the bad guy. it will work. like i said, btdt. p.s. it gets easier for both of you each time you take him. oh, i guess i should tell that your vet. will give you little puppy drugs, if needed, he won't know what hit him, but try my way first.

Groom him yourself. Whoever said you needed to go to a pet shop or groomer to do it. If you're extremely lazy though, buy a small muzzle for him.

and why cant you do that yourself? Why cant you get a nice shampoo and wash him yourself? WOuld you ever let a stranger showering you???? I wouldnt think so..... its the same with dogs...... get a nice shampoo, a conditioner if you want and an after wash spritzer.... clean up his ears with some baby oil, and chop off his nails..... why pay for this service when this particular thing can give you closure with YOUR dog????? What a waste of time to get someone to do it....... and doesnt the fact your taking care of YOUR dog make you feel better???? it does to me.......

I'm sure they've dealt with aggressive dogs before and take percautions. Give them a call before you go to make sure.
