Dogs sometimes do this to show dominance or ownership of you. This dog might also be the type that jumps up at you when you arrive home (and you probably pet him and reinforce the behavior), or one that will sit right next to you or even on you while you are eating.

Aww how sweet! He's just showing affection but be careful if he constantly wants to sit on you or at least have his paw anywhere on you, its a sign that he's dominant.

oh that is funny. my dog does the same thing. and he is about 10-15lb. but he just rolls on my stomach. i just push him off of me and he comes back. he thinks your playing or wants to play.
