I don't think it is weird at all. My fiance gave me a promise ring a long time ago. Then he gave me my engagement ring a couple years ago. I wear them both. I think it is kinda cool because on both of my hands I can look down and think of him.
So no, it is not weird!!!

No it is not weird. A promise ring is a ring you get when you date, he realizes he likes you but not sure he wants to get really serious yet but he doesn't want you to date anyone else. More or less a promise that a later date he will replace it with the engagement ring. When the time is right and he knows he wants to spend the rest of his life with you that is when you get the engagement ring.

No, some have both and wear them both at the same time. Usually a promise ring is worn until the engagement ring is given. If you like them both, then wear them both. Your choice.

No, they mean two different things. If you are wearing an engagement ring it should be on your wedding ring finger. That is where the promis ring should go, unless you are engaged. Then you can move it to a different finger. Doesn't matter which hand it is on.

Are you talking promise ring that is a ring you are wearing because you took a vow to abstain from having pre-marital sex? The Purity ceremony ring,or a ring that your boyfriend gave you that is really a pre-engagement ring, that basically means he promises to pop the question one day? If it is the first ring in question and you are still abstaining from sex then you just move it to another finger, if you are having sex then there is no need to wear a commitment ring. If it is the second ring in question then he has fulfilled his promise and you don't need to wear it unless you want to.

I think that the promise ring means he will be with your forever...not that the others dont but the first step. The engagement ring means ready to marry and forever and the wedding ring means Marriage forever and always!!!

Why do you need a promise ring? I've never understood. If you are meant to be, why is that not enough? Why do you need another ring to make you feel loved?
