I just bleached my hair and it turned sort or a yellowy light orange color so I'm going to do a second "pass" of the bleach tomorrow after it gets a chance to rest for the night... can it actually FALL OUT from dying it or is that just a myth? I understand it can break if it's too damaged but... literally fall out at the root? Come on!

Should I not bleach it again? I REALLY don't want to dye it a dark color and I REALLY can't leave it this way.

your hair can fall out from the dye, but that is not very likely to happen. the only reason that would happen is if the stylist put the bleach directly on your scalp. but also, if it breaks near the root, then it appears to fall out. i would maybe recommend having it lightened to get reid of the yellow-orange. i wouldn't dye it dark right after bleaching your hair. i'd probably do protein treatments for a while, so your hair can build up strength again.

To be honest I would leave it alone for longer than a day. I would wait a week, and do several deep condition treatments. Your hair can fall out from the root, and having it break off really sucks too, it gets all frizzy and stuff. if you go to dye it back to dark, you will have a lovely shade of grey. Trust me! I've been there!!

Bleach is a chemical which isn't the best for your hair. I suggest waiting a couple weeks till your next hair dye.

Yeah, it can fall out if you bleach it too much. I know a girl that had that problem. She went from black to blonde, and it completely fried her hair. She had to wear a hood for a few weeks because her hair was so frail.

Go to a professional, and get your hair deep-conditioned.

it won't "fall off" buy it can break off. it's good to wait a week before you try it again. bleach is damaging, but letting your hair rest a week will give it enough time to be reconditioned.

well its true my friends dyied her hair so manny times it started falling out really bad so if you do plan on changing your hair color wait at least 3 months b4 you fix it because the bleach has chemicals that burn your hair so becarefull....

well in my cos class we did an expirement. we put blond in a maniquins hair. we washed it out and it was fine. then we put blond in another maniquins hair and over processed it to see. when we washed it out the hair felt gross and was falling out in clumps. i would wait about 2 weeks to do it again. just in case it becomes over processed. and you go bald because of it
