Why does my friend's dog dig around the septic tank?

You would think the smell would keep them away, but her dog constanty digs around the septic tank.

The septic tank is buried several feet below the surface.

MORE LIKE 6 INCHES BELOW THE SOIL LEVEL..
GROUND IS COOLER AND MOIST....
AND SAYING GRASS IS GREENER OVER THE SEPTIC TANK...

DOGS LOVE COOL MOIST GROUND.....
