How is "slice" different from "dice"?

A slice can be elongated or round. Diced, you would cut the elongated things into small sections, or round slices would have to be cut two more times to make them diced.

You slice first, then you cut (the slice) again, and thats dice.

Slices are elongated cuts. Dice is little square pieces.
