dated or married a man with acne scars.., if so what do you like about them and why cant i get a date ...i am a good looking guy 5'11
170pds, brn eyes, spikey hair and goatee and handsome... I'm starting to think that the moderate acne scars I have are the cause of my girl troubles.....
what do you think....
oh I always let the girl approach me because i dont like to approach girls because of this issue...
any advise will help ...

u know, women tend not to look in the outer skin.. but tend to look more in a inner beauty. rite galz? ;) coz i have lot of acne scars too, and i have a beautiful girlfriend who love me alot. and i love her too.. btw, since u said that ur handsome.. i think that is not the problem.. i think u have to be more aggresive, coz not every girl start approaching. usually men is the one who start to approach girl, not vice versa..

I think it's your self-consciousness, not the acne scars that are turning women off. Women like men who are confident in themselves. You say you always let women approach you because of this issue so it is probably effecting your demeanor in ways that you don't even see (for example, not making eye contact or just being quiet). You might want to see a dermatologist to find a way of minimizing your scars. Also take up something that makes you feel confident-a hobby or sport. Having more on your mind then old acne scars will alleviate your concerns. Good luck!

i have a close friend with acne scars on his face; he is still pretty self-conscious about it, but was much worse when he had the actual acne, as opposed to the scars.
I definitely understand that it can feel like that is the first thing people notice about you, but honestly, you pay more attention to it than anyone else ever will.
if a girl really won't date you for that reason, then its her loss and your luck, that you didn't date a girl who puts so much emphasis on looks in the first place.

Acne scars wouldn't bother me at all. I mean, they're not a bonus or anything, but there's a lot of worse physical features that you could have. I personally don't think that's your problem :-/

It sounds like you are insecure about this and there are so many things out there now that can help. Why not make an appointment with a dermatologist and see what options you have. Once you feel more comfortable with your skin you will be more at ease meeting girls.

It sounds like you are just so self-conscious that you don't come out of your shell to approach a girl. Most girls don't approach guys, and there are probably several chicas who would like you to ask them out, but they're too scared to be a woman who comes on strong.

OMG your silly.My hubby used to brakeout when we were fisrt dating,but his acne went away.I didnt think anything if it.I luv him too much to leave him for such a Normal thing.Get over it.If youre realy desperate go to a Derm./doc,and ask them what they can do for you.But why would a girl that suposably likes you leave you for a few scars.get over it.
