Do you think that BSl is wrong? BSL is Breed-specific legislation. It is designed to place restrictions on ownership of certain breeds of dogs. Typically, the restricted breeds include pit bull-type dogs (usually vaguely defined). In my opinion, it is not the dogs fault on how they act. It is the irresponsible owners that train them to grow up to kill.On Monday, May 9, 2005, the Denver Division of Animal Control began enforcing a city-wide ban on owning pit bull terriers, and initiated an aggressive campaign of seizing beloved family pets, and killing them against their owner's will. These dogs were innocent. When did guilty come befor proven innocent? heres some info for you. 440,000 people are killed from ciggarettes each year. 40,000 are killed from car accidents. 38,000 are killed by gun crimes. 2,000 are killed by there own parents. only three are killed by pitt bulls. BSL is definitely wrong and it is not going to stop at pit bulls once it gets passed it opens the door to bans on all breeds, large and small. In Italy 92 breeds of dog are deemed dangerous and if people here do not wake up we will be headed in the same direction. The next thing you know we will not be able to own any dogs and the only place we will be able to see them is in the zoo with the rest of the wild and dangerous animals.
I write to the government officials every time I hear a new state proposing BSL and I sign petitions against it. The best way to beat BSL is to educate as many people as possible.

i do believe that anyone can choose whatever dog they want. In this case we obviuosly talk about pittbulls because unfortunately, they have been labelled with the worst names. I am 100% postive that any dog is capable of reacting therefor injuring anyone or anything. A peaceful labrador could turn around and kill if it wants to. The thing is a labrador is usually owned by families and kids therefor it is a so called placid dog because its owned by responsible poeple. A pittbull has been known for its fights back in the day and its tough look therefor its usually owned by scum. As a consequence, dogs learn this is the only way to behave because its the only "right" way. SO i really do think that, yes there should be laws into place to avoid scum people owning them. Im against the law because i do believe, as i said, that anyone can have whatever dog they choose but im for it because its better to avoid scum people owning this dog for all the wrong reasons.
Unfortunately ignorance is predominant in some cases and only education can change this. But some people are animal in itself at the end of the day.

Yes it is wrong. It's completely ridiculous. I switched insurance companies because of their policy against certain dog breeds that included mine, an Akita - even though it's not illegal in the state. I've yet to come across a dangerous pitbull. Of course they have potential to become dangerous, but I've seen more people bit from little yapper dogs (like pomeranians) than from the larger breeds.

Woohoo! Let's all speak out against this. It's wrong people. But nobody is going to ban cars and cigarettes because they make money.
D'you think that dog fighters are going to stop their ILLEGAL act because the dogs are now ILLEGAL? They're already breaking the law, why would they stop? People need to stop. Not dogs.

I agree with you, if anything they should ban smokes. Oh no, I forgot, money is more important then people's health. *sarcasm*
Pit Bulls are my favorite breed of dog, and I don't give a crap what anybody says about them, because really, they'd never know until they own one.

that is so wrong.its all of the owner's fault for not training them correctly. i do not think it is fair to the dogs to be doing this to them for no reason.
