What that scripture is refering to is this. Not following the Salvation Process as written in Acts 2:38! When you do this, ALL of your sins will be washed away. And when you receive it, you will know. Acts 2:4 10:45-46, 19:6, Mark 16:17. Experience this and all will be right with God and you will have access to His Kingdom. St. John 3:5.

To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to deny His existence and ignore the plan of salvation. That is refuse the offering of Jesus Christ.
If you become a Christian later on, having now acknowledged God, the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ, then you are no longer in a state of blasphemy and so you would not be spending your eternity in Hell.

They just threw that clause in to make sure everybody has "conviction of sin." What exactly constitutes the "blasphemy against the Holy Ghost" is never specified, so you never know if you may have inadvertantly committed it. If you did, though, too bad for you!

"It shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come."

Sounds pretty conclusive to me. Nothing in "The Word" to suggest that being baptized gets you out of this one, or that it's impossible to Christians. In fact everybody's interpretation is only the merest speculation, because the gospels only give the threat.

Of course, the problem is solved if you simply never become a Christian - that way you don't have to believe in imaginary threats.

There may be no later in life. Airplanes are getting older and are falling out of the sky on a more regular basis. I been reading about more cars crashing through houses and stray bullets. Here is a return question, that you know better will you be able to accept His forgiveness? It is my experience that we are harder on ourselves than anyone else could ever be. You already knew the answer!

No. 1) Baptism covers all previous sin (yes, even THAT one) - and - 2) as a Christian it is impossible to commit blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

To commit the unpardonable sin, you first must be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Then you would have to get to know Jesus very well (not just speaking in tongues, or receiving a gift).

Then you would have to turn away from what you know is true, and say that it is false.

Then you are lost forever!!

um I dont think so because you didnt know him at that time. READ REBECCA BROWN—highest priestes or american witch—after all the horrible things that she did and said, he forgave her and she came to peace with the lord. You MUST READ "he came to set the captives free" and you'll understand.
