Did air bags come standard at that time? I'm looking into buying this jeep off auto-trader and I have no idea if it has air-bags. It doesn't list them in the buyer description (which just says that it has low miles, clean, good condition with power steering and power brakes.)

I have a 95 Wrangler (the 4 cylinder) This jeep does not have airbags it is a YJ which is subtlely different from a CJ. These jeeps are basically a body tub bolted to a frame with the drivetrain and all NECESSARY items bolted on. There are no extra do-dads on it.
Airbags on a jeep? Are you kidding me? The only reason that you should want a jeep is for its offroad capability. You should spend the majority of your time in a cj or yj at under 30 mph. Good seatbelts will help at this speed but not airbags. You do not want to be going 2mph on the trail, bump a tree and get a bloody nose!
Note: the 6cyl is the one to get. The 2.5 will last forever, but the transmissions behind them are crap. You are warned!

No a 95 does not have them. 97 was the first year of airbags for the Jeep Wranglers.

Nope jeep didnt have a SIR in the wranglers till '97 in the TJ'S

THE 95 JEEP WRANGLER DOESNT HAVE AIR BAGS ON THEM THEY STARTED THE AIRBAG SYSTEM WHEN THEY CAME OUT WITH THE NEW BODY STYLING IN 97 THE CHEROKEE STARTED THE AIR BAGS IN 96 ON THE DRIVERS SIDE ONLY
