I have red just-below-shoulder length hair that is slighty layered and long bangs. My hair is naturally wavy, but I normally straighten it every day because it's a "messy curly" lol. It's more wavy than it's curly, but it's not evenly curly. If I blow dry it, it's wavy in some spots, curly in others, and even in some places straight, like I didn't brush my hair when I woke up. If I don't blow dry it, it's curled more even, but then it's frizzy. But it's really hard to straighten, and normally doesn't stay straight for very long (it goes poof as soon as I walk out of the house). And I'm getting a little bored with it. I want something fun and funky and pretty, but something that's easy to do and won't take a lot of time.

Need a little more info. Do you want to cut your hair, or just figure out a way to make your hair work. If you want to make it stay straight, add some straightening serum to it, but make sure it is some good stuff. Or maybe use something a little heavier. You could also buy some curlers to sleep on, hot stick, or a curling iron and use curl serum. I have problematic hair like you do, but I find I can be creative with my hair long. I have noticed, however, that the shorter my hair and layers are the better my waves and curls work.
Check out these websites. The is a short hair cut with waves, and there are others to scroll through as well. The second is a virtual way to try on a hairstyle first. The last two are articles to help you decide what would be best for you and your face shape.
Good Luck!

If you'd like to cut it think about what would be most flattering to your face shape, yet be simple to fix.

Just to tell you I envy you SOOO much! I wish I had red hair!!! But anyway, back to the point. Maybe you should try shorter choppy bangs... or even strait across bangs, that style is in right now. I don't know what your face shape is, but if you do, there are websites that tell you what kind of haircuts look best with what features and face shape you have. Try and get a picture of the style you want to give to you hairdresser when yo find out what you want. You could also get more layers, layers make a really nice frame and make your hair seem thinner and silkier.

If you want your hair to not be frizzy, but you want it curly, there are creams that you can rub into your hair to make the natural curl inhance. And there are shampoos, conditioners, and creams that help ease your frizziness!

Hope this helps!

Twist it around like you are going to put in into a bun but leave it loose and then just wrap the hair tie around it a couple of times all bunched up like. Leave it that way and when the curls dry it will curl out all over the place and look very feminine and romantic. SWEET!

It sounds like cute curls. Try French braiding it or twisting the top of it and leave the back out.

If you are willing to go short, ask your hair stylist to cut your hair at a 90 degree all over your head. it will look very nice and its very easy to style. just get some volumizing moose, blow dry w/head upside down and go!! Talk to your hair stylist about it girl!
