Insane, yes, insanely happy, but, really, I don't get this whole people believe in God because they are afraid of not existing theory. Why would I fear not existing, if I end up not existing I won't care because I wont be able to.

well im kindof with you.

i think the idea of eternal life is horrible. dont get me wrong it sounds nice and all...but eternity as myself? id rather be reincarnated and have to live life over again. experience things all over again, watch movies that scare me all over again....

eternity is not good sounding thing to me. after a while id probobally want to kill myself...but i dont think itll be possible.

Iam not afraid of ceasing to exist. I dont believe i God because Iam afraid. I believe in God because He loves me and I love Him. He has blessed my life so much. I have had many miracles in my life. God has shown to me that He exists. If one believes because they are afraid they are believing in vain and their belief is false

and the world is happy for you. : )

but why do you think that is the reason people believe in god? i think most people who believe do so either because they feel that their spirituality enhances their lives. sure there are those who believe out of fear of eternal punishment, and while i don't think it is a good reason either, it is not the same as belief for fear of nonexistence. i have really never heard anyone express that their belief was for that reason.

Who believes in God because they are afraid of not existing? That's called "fire insurance" not faith based on evidence.

You're an average theist. If your beliefs aren't those of Christians, muslims, etc....then you're free to believe what you want and just be a simple theist.
