i need to know how to copy dvds from my VLC media player cause i got a boring class tomorrow ahhh!! i need help!!!!

Ah.. James..

Okay, we're at the crossroads: From what I've read, VLC actually *can* rip video content and re-encode/compress to a few different video formats.

However, I don't completely know how to do it; I've tried and it's a bit complex to configure all of the variables.

Instead, I'd recommend using another app to rip dvds to a smaller, more manageable format, such as AutoGK, which is the only freeware I've come across http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/autogk.cfm

VLC is merely a media viewer and not a ripping program. You cannot achieve this through VLC.
