I think I like a good friend of mine, how do I tell him? How do I know if he feels the same way?

I grew up with this guy and I ended up falling for him... and we stopped talking because of that. I thought I was over him and just recently (5 years later!) we rediscovered our friendship. But all those feeling I had for him came back! He just got out of a 3 year relationship, should I tell him how I feel???

Become good friends first, so he can realize agian how cool you are. He'll forget about his x soon enough, but you should still wait a while. after you become good friends, Maybe send him a pizza with a note hidden under it saying how you feel. If he doesn't like you back, you could say that some other girls did it as a joke. You might not wanna go for him though, because, no matter if you two agree on it, I doubt you will stay friends after you break-up. I lost the best friend I ever had that way. Communication is the most important part of a good relationship. If this person is really a friend then you should be able to confide in him and it be OK. Even if it goes badly, there will no longer be any doubt. It is really good to know a door is closed rather then wonder about it indefinitely.
