None, if you are already looking for cheap, you may have difficulty. There is also a major shortage in housing. Most of the rents are probably reaching over $2000.00 a month. The cheapest I saw (before I left) was $1000.00 for a studio, but there were 50 people who wanted it.

I have just moved from Hawaii after living there all my life and have never been better.

Aiea, Pearl City, Hawaii Kai, Mililani, and Honolulu are the more expensive areas.

Cheaper areas (but I never said safe) are Waianae, some areas of Waipahu, and Wahiawa.

1st of all, there are no cheap places to live anywhere in the state of Hawaii. Compared to the mainland, real estate is outrageously expensive. I guess the cheapest place to live would be the Big Island, more specifically the city of Hilo. On Oahu, Kauai, and Maui you will find decent homes starting at 400,000-600,000. A 600 sq ft condo in Honolulu will run about 280,000-320,000. Rents are also high.
If you live in Honolulu, especially the west side, be prepared to face traffic times of 1-2 hours on good days!

sure sure and likely! I surely have lived in Auckland and Christchurch whilst being a school pupil. I surely have not lived in Wellington yet my boyfriend has for especially much all of his existence. Auckland became so very high priced, i lived there for variety of 5-6 months. My brother lived in Christchurch for some years and that i lived there some months and that i've got somewhat some acquaintances there and that's lots extra fee-effective than Auckland by potential of a techniques and a funner place to be. All i pay attention approximately Wellington is that that's a rich place to be, yet by potential of a techniques the main cultural of the three. you would be getting your monies well worth in Wellington, yet Christchurch is the main inexpensive.

The best deals are still on The Big Island of Hawai'i but if your sister lives on O'ahu then you will be far away unless you don't mind flying ....

Peace.....

Kalihi, Salt Lake, Aiea...pretty much anywhere not in the heart of Honolulu.

Wouldn't your sister be able to tell you since she is already living there?
