Why cant guys just tell the girls that they like them? Is there something wrong with us? Everyday, some guy in my school starts staring at me..and it really starts to bug me. I have a 6th grade dance coming up next week, and im afraid what will happen there. Why cant guys just tell all the girls that they like, the truth, instead of keeping it a secret, and never knowing if they feel the same way bout you? I know if a guy like me, i wouldn't mind, and probably like him bak.

wow wouldn't life be easier if they did tell their feelings? yep. anyways, I know I guy I like and I told him so (being a girl) and I've never asked him what he feels about it, and it's been 5 months. I just don't think I'm strong enough to know the answer, like even if it is a Yes...u know how the saying goes: the fear of successful is equal to the fear of rejection. And these past five months have been nothing but a rollercoster for me, he knows I like him, and would always be there. He has been giving me a whole lot of mixed signals and other stuff. But, I guess you should probably make friends with these guys who like to stare...eh? You never know what they're looking for...sometimes we just are greatly mistaken. And surprisingly enough, it was that one time that I was mistaken that I went through this whole journey with the guy I was talking about.

It seriously does not work like that. You both are supposed to play a little cat-and-mouse game until someone (the guy) has the balls to ask someone else (the girl) out. That's the way it has been; that's the way it's gonna be.
Seriously though, no guy's gonna go out with you if you go up to him and say you like him so much and everything. Just ask if he wants to hang out or something. If he says no, he doesn't like you. end of discussion

First of all, you both are mostly young. If I guy came up to you and told you he likced you, you would feel awkard. It isn't guys fault. I was a sixth grade guy once, and I know that it was impossible to talk to girls, I was scared. I know that if you like this guy, and he probably likes you too, just initiate something! But for future please don't generalize guys as people who dont show feelings.

Most times, and at that age guys are scared. They don't want to admit it, and if they do, they are at your mercy. You now know that he likes you. He doesn't know if you like him or not. That creates power over him. Most guys don't like that.
Don't be scared about the dance coming up. Be yourself. If you see a guy staring at you, call them out. At that age they will most likly stop from sheer embarrassment. They might even say they like you. Its a possiblity.

Ok most guys when they like a girl try to show it but not give it away because they dont know what will happen
If the girl turns him down he's gana feel like crap when his friends hears about it
Guys like to know if the girl likes him before he asks her out so he doesnt get so nervous when he tries to
Trust me us guys get VERY nervous before we ask

some guys are to shy some times their self esteem is lowers if thay get rejected as I am 1 of those guys

to put in mildly...
most guys (espescially in the 6th grade) are shy...
they fear rejection... that is only magnified when the grow up...
be approachable if you want them to come to you...
don't push them away...
be friendly...

..Guys are meant to hide their feelings. They need to be tough and not cry. They aren't "emotional" like females are. Girls can cry whenever, cuz well, we're girls. Guys are much different.

boys and girls hate this word......rejection....they are afraid of the unknown. it'll get better as you get older...good luck at your dance
