no it does not. i do not like to think that if i was depressed and suicidal, that i would enjoy the thought that a lot of people are suffering from depression, the same as me. i would get a warm fuzzy feeling if i was, or knew somebody that was depressed, and they got much better and were able to enjoy their life again. that would give me a lot of satisfaction, and a warm fuzzy feeling.

Untill I went to group therapy I really did think that I was the only person that felt that way. I wouldn't say that it made me feel warm and fuzzy, but it did comfort me to know that I was not alone in feeling that way.

what kind of dumb a.s.s. question is that? The point of suicidal feelings is not to have to deal with the "millions of other people in the world" go find something better to do with your time

honestly no i don't think it helps much, because there are many more millions who feel perfectly at ease with the world and are very happy with their lives. those are the people i envy.
