On my current fafsa I had two schools registered. I was attending my last semester of junior college and then I began at a university. They covered my tuition for my semester at the junior college which was like $600.00. My parental contribution on my fafsa was $6500.00. I assumed if they would cover that they would help me with my university tuition. but when I started they informed me that financial aide would cover nothing even though my tuition for one semester is close to $10,000.00. Does this seem strange to anyone else, because I am bewildered and completely losing it trying to figure out how to pay all of this money. And on top of it they told me that because i am not married i am still considered a dependent of my parents so they are only giving me 2500.00 in student loans and I have to figure out how to come up with the rest of it. I hate money!

Don't try to figure this out yourself. Go to your school financial aid office and ask to speak to a financial aid counselor. They will sit with you and explain it and tell you your options. If they aren't helpful ask to speak with someone else (every once in awhile you'll get a jerk). Good Luck!

no, it doesn't. just look for private loans and scholarships.
