I recently adopted a 1 year old pit bull and she destroys all of her toys except her kong. Do you have any other suggestions for good TUFF toys? She destroys tennis balls, rope toys, stuffed animals, and she chews through raw hides sooo quick I'm affraid she will swallow a huge piece. What else can I try?

Booda Super Tug - You can play tug with your dogs or let your dogs play tug with each other. It's a healthy way to exercise your pooch. This tug is also machine washable so it doesn't get all funky and leave your carpet stinking like dog slobber

Real bones (not chicken bones)- Are good. My brother brings home big beef bones from his work and they last pretty long and dogs love em. But just don't boil them cuz they'll break apart and they can choke.

Galileo Bone - One of the strongest dog toys made. I recommend this one, that is, if you can get over the shape........

Bully sticks - This is a smoked, dried bull's penis (really, I swear!). Since Bully sticks are muscle, they do digest and will not break off in chunks like rawhide. My dogs love these things. They are a little pricey, but can be gotten for a decent price at dog shows or pet expos.

The Almost Indestructible Ball - It's quite big. Dogs will drive themselves crazy trying to get it into their mouth. But it will wear them out and last a very long time.

The Kevlar Frisbee - If there was one toy I would highly recommend this would be the toy. Durable as toys come, great fun, and can be used just about anywhere the Kevlar frisbee is a perfect Pit Bull toy.

Rawhide - This is one thing my dogs are NOT allowed to have. If a chunk of rawhide is torn off and swallowed, it will not digest and can block a dog's intestines.

GOOD LUCK.. we could not *ever* find something that my sons Am PBT could not destroy... Kongs lasted the longest but eventually she even managed to chew the top rung off.. no farther than that though and that was on the large ones.. lol

Go to the grocery store and at the meat department... in the stores that do their own butchering... and buy some leg and knuckle bones.. they can last a long time.

Hoofs work also but don't last as long as the bones plus when broken they get needle sharp so you have to watch them carefully... I stopped giving because of that but then when my son moved out he started her back up on them...

These dogs are made of rawhide and piano wire. LOL

The strength of their jaws are a ***head shaker*** for sure... hahhaha

My current pitbull breed LOVES his kong, and Puppy Treads (giant tire toys). My old pitty played with a bowling ball, outside of course.

They have chew toys rated by their chew-o-meter. 1 being for small dogs with not a agressive chew up to 5 for the very agressive chewer. I've had their toys for a few years now and my 90 pound Golden with a very agressive chew has yet to break or destroy their toys.

A friend of mine has the same problem with her rotti. She has an old ride on mower tyre with nylon lobster fishing rope tied on that the dog hasnt destroyed yet. Good for chewing on, good for throwing(or rolling as my son does, he cant throw it). Or poke a small hole in a extra large dog tennis ball and fill it with a rubber compound. Worked for my moms neo mastiff.

Our dog is the same way. He has yet to destroy a toy that is made of tire rubber -- you can find them at any petstore. ALso, instead of rawhide bones, we started giving him nylon bones and they last!! Good luck!

I would stick to the Kong Toys, they are durable and won't break off and be digested. Good Luck.

A nice big beef marrow bone. Freeze it and give it to her, it will last a long time! A nice treat on hot days.
