Jesus was a Jew ( come on, you know that!) and was raised with Jewish family values....

Years ago I attended a wonderful event entitled "The time has come for the Gentile world to recognise its debt of gratitude to theJews." It was held in a London park and was unforgettable. But for the Jews we wouldn't have a Bible at all (nearly all of it was written by Jews) and the whole plan of man's salvation was carried out through the Jews, starting with faithful Abraham. Where, indeed, would we be without them?

Hmmm.
Job was not Jewish, and yet Job stated that he knew that his redeemer lived, and that, even though he would die and rot in his grave, he would stand in his own flesh and see God...
That sounds pretty Christian to me.
Jesus is God, the flesh He came in was Jewish.
However, that doesn't make God a Jew, does it? God is the God of the entire universe.
Did you know that the Jews had already rejected God from being King over them, back in the days of Samuel? For some reason, they preferred a human king...even though God had Samuel tell them what a human king would be like. However, they chose a human king...and to this day, they are STILL looking for a human Messiah. For these reasons, it is really not surprising that they did not recognize the Lord, when He did suddenly appea in His Temple, as had been foretold.
When Jesus was being tried, the Jews present cried out "His blood be on us, and on our children, forever."
Whether that has anything to do with what the Jews have suffered since, I cannot say...However, Jesus told them that their Temple woul be destroyed, and...what do you know? Within one generation, along came Titus, and...
Now, I have nothing against the Jews personally, but I do get tired of hearing about the great debt we owe them. In my humble opinion, that debt is to Jesus, only.

Yes we realize that.BUT even if Jesus was born into a Hindu or Muslim family would he not still be Jesus son of God. and one more thing only Mesianic(i know i didnt spell that right sorry) Jews belive that Jesus is the son of God and the messiah, all the other Jews say that he was just a great teacher and some dont acknowledge him or the miracles he preformed at all.

Correct! In order for Christianity to be true, Judaism MUST be true!

Yes, Jesus was a very devout, medium-build, very dark-haired man with dark Mediterannean skin and (probably) a dark eye color.

We are alot like Jews....and vastly different at the same time. Our morals are based on Judaic principles....Jesus came to remind us of what those principles are...how to stop being self-centered and to reconcile us to the Father.

We owe our Jewish brethren an incredible debt of gratitude for having kept God's word -- written (Torah) and Oral intact for centuries prior to Jesus. When one reflects on the incredible amount of persecutions Judaism had endured prior to Jesus....for them to have reamined faithful is indeed a lesson for all of us.

That is not exactly correct. Remember that Judaism is not really based today on the Bible, but on the Talmud. Even in Jesus day He was very critical of the Pharisees because as He said to them, "with your traditions you have nullified the Scriptures." Christianity is based on the Old Testament but has never really been based on Judaism.

You are mostly right. Please remember that God is able to do anything and if He had to would have had no trouble working around that little minor (to God, anyway) detail. Also, God is called the God of the Impossible so going by that, wouldn't that automatically mean that it could have happened after all since you say it is impossible? I realize it sounds like a tease or jab but I mean it as neither. I find it very easy to accidentally "limit" God and what He can do. I am often thinking of statements just like the one you are asking and have to remind myself that God can do infinitely more than I or anybody else can possibly imagine. Anyway...makes for an Excedrin Headache!

Jesus was definitely a Jew and for that reason the Jews have, or should have, a special place in the heart of every Christian. And I think by and large they do, the people claiming Jesus wasn't a Jew are mostly in pseudo-christian cults like aryan churches or christian identity.

Shalom.

We certainly do and we thank the Jewish people for preserving the Torah and books of the prophets. We owe them for loving God so much that they saved His Word. We constantly pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the people of Israel.
