Hello:
What you are describing is called,"Winter Itch,"and it is more common than people think it is!! I would suggest that you find a really good moisturizing lotion such as the following brands:
Curel: Makes a product for severe dry skin (In a blue bottle with a pump top to it), and I use this ALOT during the winter, and it takes care of the itchiness and dryness in about two days. Apply after your shower or bath, pat your legs and feet dry with a towel,DO NOT RUB,and then apply this lotion liberally all over your legs and feet. I put this lotion on my feet after my shower, put on a pair of socks, and literally overnight my feet don't itch and they feel as smooth as a newborn baby's skin, not kidding!
Eucerin: Is recommended by alot of doctors and dermatologists.
Vaseline Intensive Care: There are a variety of these lotions too,but to tell you the truth,I have never been impressed with Vaseline or Suave products, because they make my sensitive skin itch like mad,and burn, oooh does it make my skin burn,*OWIE* :-(
Aveeno: Has out some lotions with Oatmeal in them that would help calm your dry, itchy skin, but I have not tried these,so I cannot tell you how good they work??
I hope you start to find some much needed relief soon and I am sending some (((HUGS)))) your way!! ;-)

Possibly from taking too hot of a shower during the winter (winter itch). Try taking a short, warm shower and it will probably clear up. The hot water is probably hitting your feet and legs longer than anywhere else.

You need a moisturizer. In the winter our skin peels because of the cold weather. Not much moisture in the air. Causes the skin to dry out.

Probably dry skin. Try a moisturizer (sp?) for dry, itchy skin.
