To bad Salvation isn't like the game of Horse Shoes. This is what the Bible says. St. John 3:5, we must be Born Again of the Water AND of the Spirit. Jesus taught it and Peter preached it on the Day of Pentecost. Right after the first believers were gathered together waiting for the promise of the Father. Acts 2:4 as the Spirit gave UTTERANCE. Acts 2:38 says to repent and be Baptized (by immersion, because this is how the Apostles did it) for the remission of your sins, and you will be given the gift of the Holy Ghost (with the evidence of speaking in an unknown language). Acts 2:4, 10:45-46, 19:6, St. Mark 16:17. The Epistles were written to the Churchs that were filled with people that went through the sin removal process in Acts 2:38. These were the pilgrims that traveled to Jerusalem for the Passover Feast and went back home afterwards and started churchs. The Book of Acts was written to GET you saved, and the Epistles were written to KEEP you saved. Before anyone gets bent out of shape and accuses me of private interpretation, keep in mind WHO authored it. Read it for yourselves. Believing isn't enough. The devils believe also, and they tremble!!

Getting saved was the best thing that ever happened to me.....so, yes, I know. The way to get saved is to accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior. To grow in your religion is to build a personal relationship with God.
After being saved, you will immediately feel it in your heart. However, to change your ways you must build a relationship with Christ. It does not happen over night so don't get discouraged.
Turn to God for all things, do not be ashamed of anything. In God, anything is possible.

When Christ pulls us to Him and we accept Him as our Savior the Holy Spirit comes inside us. A born-again Christian has a completely new nature because when the Holy Spirit comes in He teaches us all things and points out sin. He purifies and refines us to be capable of living a life of complete victory over sin. He teaches us the Word of God and calls it to our memory whenever it is needed. He is our helper and our comforter and our teacher. He prepares us to meet Jesus.

We must first understand our condition:
"For all have sinned and continue to fall short of God's glory." (Romans 3:23)
That Jesus loves us so much:
"But God demonstrates his love for us by the fact that Christ died for us while we were still sinners." (Romans 5:8)
That He offers grace to us as a gift:
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
That all we need to do is:
"If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9)
And
"For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:13)
Nothing we do otherwise helps us:
"For by such grace you have been saved through faith. This does not come from you; it is the gift of God and not the result of works, lest anyone boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)
He exchanges His perfect life for our imperfect one, and gives us His righteousness and His Spirit to live within us, so we can live to please Him!
