Just curious because I was watching "A Haunting" on Discovery Channel and that house had demons or ghost (I dont't remember) and one of them even choked the couples kid.

i have studied spirit for a long time now
and what we see in hauntings and poltergeist cases is not spirit
they are ghosts and human energy
ghosts are just left over energy and sometimes that energy is so powerful that it leaves a visual imprint on the atmosphere
it is not a conscious energy
that is why ghosts will be seen repeating actions over and over again
poltergeist energy is quite different
that is human energy and can be seen in cases where people report noises and things moving ... even in this case creating a feeling of being choked etc
this is usually in a home where adolescents live .. especially females with hormones running riot
TV of course will exagerate many of these things

The Bible actually has an answer for that one. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Also, Hebrews 9:27, for it is appointed once for man to die and then the judgement.
No souls stay here, however there are created beings that can take on human form and fool humans into thinking that they are ghosts. Those creatures are angels, specifically fallen ones, now called demons.
Since WE have no way of knowing whether these things are what they claim to be regardless of whatever words they may use to have us think that they are dead people, demons DO know all about that since they live in that world. They're getting a big laugh at our expense.

Often its because they feel they have unfinished business or are still too connected to people on this plane. Think of it as a hot air balloon - the more ballast you throw away, the higher you can go. Movies like that are fiction - rarely based on any type of reality. They are to enjoy with popcorn and nothing else.

We Buddhists understand a concept called the "formless realm" which is occupied by people who wind up there based on the condition of their mind at death and/or their karma. If a mind is suddenly finding it's no longer attached to the body it once "occupied" and in a state of anger, fear or confusion, it might not take "rebirth" (according to Buddhist teachings) and remain in their formless state, hovering close to the scene of the crime, trying to reach out and communicate with people etc.
There's lots more to it, so if you're ever interested in the Buddhist version... one book which is my fave, written by Sogyal Rinpoche "The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying" can give you a bit of a clue in... and there are other books at www.snowlionpub.com or wisdompubs.org.
Hope you find what you seek. To me, Buddhist teachings finally gave me the logical answers to this and many other questions I'd had.

When People die thier souls only can go to 2 places. One is heaven and one is hell. But u can only get into heaven if your a born again Christian by accectping that your a sinner and trusting that the Lord is The ONE AND ONLY GOD! And believeing that HE lived a perfect life and died on the cross for our sins and was raised again on the 3rd day.

After you die, you die. There are no such things as ghosts who haunt the earth. There are other supernatural entities that can make contact with natural bodies on earth such as demons.

I dont believe actual; souls stay here. I think what people think are souls are actually demons. According to the bible they can come in all sorts of forms. And can even come in the form of something nice even though they arent.

People souls do not come back from the dead that is a misconception but demons can disguise themselves as almost anything they want and that is what they truly are.

That is T.V. That doesn't really happen. Spirits roam the earth IF they have some sort of unfinished business, and whoever it is they come in contact with can help them to move on to the other side. THIS is not their world, so they cannot hurt you. Your OWN fear does that.
