shazza: you know i think you are right, i tried to explain the physics of an arc, while one half can be free standing, both sides are 100 times stonger together, hence "arch enemies" keep your friends close, and your enemoies closer.

First off Rangers might well breathe a sigh of relief that Celtic have moved to this fantasy league. 2.Now there's a euro slot for another team in CL that wouldn't have qualified had Celtic stayed put. Thus keeping the league ticking over.

No! The proof is that Celtic are playing the champions league and Rangers are not. They are just the top clubs of the country therefore there is a huge rivalry.

What makes them be bigger than the rest in the SPL is that there is no other club in the country that can match them financially (in terms of buying quality players)

Thanx!

I think Celtic would survive, but I don't think Rangers could. Celtic has proved themselves in the Champion's League, beating Man U. The scottish league would go up in flames, but then again, who watches the scottish league except for Celtic supporters? The reason the Scottish league exists is so that Celtic can crush everyone in it.
