"Because I'm smart."
"I haven't found the right slave."
"I'm a sadist, not a masochist."
"Well, because I'm happy."
"I'm having too much fun buying other people wedding presents."
"I already have two boobs, why would I want another one?"
"Hey, what a great idea! Why didn't I think of that?"
"I'm saving myself for menopause."
"Brad Pitt is already taken." or "Angelina Jolie is already taken."
"Men cost too much to feed."
"They didn't have the color I wanted."
"I'm a lesbian, didn't you know?"
"It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the men in the world."
"Do they have a pill to cure singlehood yet?"
"How much are you offering?"
"Mensa won't let me."
"My parents won't let me keep one in my room."
"Is this a proposal?"
"I was, but the dang thing didn't come with all its parts so I returned it."
"Why aren't you?"
"My man is on back order."
"I don't know. God won't answer his phone."
"What, and waste all this on a guy?!"
"My cat dragged a liitle husband in but I flushed it down the toilet."
"My male carrier's been on vacation."
"Well, I found the perfect person but the won't let me marry myself."
"I'm allergic to stupidity."
"I'm waiting for peace in the Mideast."
"I tried that at a carnival one time but I didn't like it."
"It's against my religion to marry a human."
"As soon as the Cubs win the World Series."
"I'm holding out for a plastic surgeon."
"Oh, I'd just kill him and feed his testicles to the dog."
"You mean I'm not?"

I saw a new show with David Spade playing a single guy, and he has these married friends who were harrassing him about being single, so he says something like, "Excuse me while I go do whatever I want to, all the time."
I thought that was a pretty good comeback.

here are some reasons, use them at your own discretion, some are strange but hey you asked...
because you choose to be single and non-married
you never met the right person/never found what you are looking for
you were previously a mormon and never "legally" married
you don't believe in marriage
you were married once but it ended in divorce
your in love with someone you can't have
you spent all your time with a person in a relationship who did not want marriage
you just got out of a relationship and didn't want another one until you felt like having one
I'll think of more later

I don't know I guess it's because I always brought the curve up with whatever I do. If they keep digging in you could say Well let me go and consult Nick and Jessica, Ivana and Donald, talk to Prince Charles and have a seance with Lady Di or talk to Britney and Federline on the secrets of their wonderous marriages and get back to you on that.

Other than, "haven't found the right person" or "I just don't ever intend to get married", you can say anything you want. It's your life and only you decide what happens in it.
What's the big deal with marriage anyway? Most married people are miserable and on the verge of divorce anyway. If you're happy, don't worry about it. It's better to be "unhappy and alone" than "miserable til death do you part", right?

"Because I am. I'll get married when it's the right time. You can't just expect me to go and get married on a whim. I'm waiting for the right person, which is the right thing to do..!"
"I'm still single because no one has really sparked my interest. I'll find someone soon enough, don't worry about it."

"because i like being single." " because i haven't met some one worth marrying" " because i can't see my self living with any of the guys I've dated in the past for ever with out going in sane". all of these are pretty good.

i'm not used to people asking me this question. usually my female family members just tell me what's wrong with me and why i'm still single and not married. i usually ignore them but if they keep talking me down i tell them to shut up and point out the problems in their current relationships.

I hate when people say this in a superior/belittlieng way. 'Like aww no girlfriend yet, whys that?'. I just say i'm happy enough with things the way they are, thanks!' or perhaps 'oh there's still plenty of time for all that, I don't want to tie myself down to any commitment just yet!'
