At least he can admit that he was wrong. When was the last time that a religious person admitted that they were wrong? Never. Stephen Hawking is the greatest scientific mind of our time and probably ever. At least he is investigating and trying to learn more of the Universe that we live in. If it was up to religious people, humans would be back in the dark ages. Religious believers have one canned answer for everything, "God just did it". And when they are proven wrong, they just look the other way. Stephen Hawking is to present his new findings and mathematical equations on July 21. However, where are the new findings for God? Oops, not there. What about that ark story, how did Noah and his wife and 6 other people manage to feed all those animals on the ark for 375 days and keep them healthy and clean their stalls, etc. How did the ark store all the food? Where are your findings on that? Why is it that with all Christians you ask them a question and they give you an answer, but when you contradict their answer with quotes to the opposite from the Bible, then they change their story again and again. Maybe you should concentrate on the contradictions and hypocrisy from your Bible. Mr. Hawking is still brilliant and in his career with the complexity of what he is calculating and one error is amazing. But keep beating your Christian drum and ignore the mistakes within your beliefs and religion, because that is what Christians do so well, is to look down their nose at everyone else and pretend their lives are perfect. Well, I guess your whole lives are just the game "let's pretend".

Umm... He might be "wrong" about a lot of things. That's the foundation of science; the inquiry is amended and new inferences are drawn from new observations. I don't think he doesn't concede this.
Also, not sure why this is in the R&S section.
LOL Just realized Baritone got a thumbs-up for asking who's Hawkins :D

"for the reason that then, Bush has won 2 wars against countries that harbored Muslim fans, captured Saddam Hussein, immobilized Osama bin encumbered, destroyed al-Qaida's base, and began to create the only functioning democracy interior the midsection East different than Israel. Democrats damaging all of it!" What 2 wars have been won? i be responsive to American troops are nevertheless scuffling with and death in Iraq and Afghanistan, so i do no longer think of we can declare victory there yet. you may desire to be touching on 2 different wars that Bush has "won", yet i would be unable to confirm what they could be. "Immobilized" Osama Bin encumbered? What the hell does THAT recommend? He has been loose for over 6 years, and nevertheless liberating movies. And as quickly as Iraq certainly has a useful democracy, i'm going to trust you. yet they are no longer EVEN close, so this factor isn't even controversial.

I don't know all his studies. I guess he could be wrong able other things just like any other scientist. Scientists and doctors are proven wrong many times, they usually only have theories.

That's the way science works. You look at the data, come up with your best model to explain it, work with the model for awhile, and then replace it with something better when new data comes along.
That's not only the way it works but it is the beauty of it!!!!

Truly, this is the most pathetic attempt to slander science and scientists I have ever seen.
Congratulations, you have brought YA to a new low.

That is still very much a debate. So much that I don't even have a leaning one way or the other.
