Disney is an extremely family friendly cruise line. Activity wise their kids program is unmatched - But they're also an expensive cruise line. Their sailings are very popular and as a result they sell out early.

Royal Caribbean is a great alternative, especially on their Radiance, Voyager, and Freedom class ships. Royal Caribbean's program is known as Adventure Ocean. Just as attractive is that Royal Caribbean has many more departure points and itineraries to choose from.

Princess and Carnival also have strong kids programs, particularly on their larger ships and are good options as well. They also have a lot of ships and itineraries available .

The key thing you need to remember is that with the exception of Disney, your children must be at least 3 years of age and potty trained in order to be enrolled in the programs onboard.

With the wide selection of choices available to you, it's not a bad idea to call a travel agent that specializes in cruises. They can work with you to find a family friendly cruise line and itinerary that fits you and your family. In addition a good agent can match the same deals offered by the online sites, and they won't charge you any service fees. Cruise Planners (www.mycruiseplanner.net) 888-286-9827 is a good option.

Disney is a good bet but most cruise lines have children's programs. I know for a fact that both Carnival and Princess cruise lines have kids programs and you would have to go to their web sites for more info. I was once on a Princess cruise when I saw a bunch of kids on a scavenger hunt going to different parts of the ship to find things and they looked like they were having a blast. Good luck.

Royal caribbean has some of the best cruises; they have their own programs for kids of all ages. They have a kids swimming pool, game room, activities program; Johnny Rockets to eat at, they have an ice skating rink and mini golf on the Voyager class and Freedom class ships. You would love to take your kids on a Royal Caribbean cruise. We have been on three and wouldnt change for anything!

We went on a Disney Cruise in Sept. of this past year, and it was absolutely amazing! All the kids had such a fantastic time, they cried when we had to leave! And the service is unlike any other- Disney goes above and beyond. Go on Disneycruise.com and see for yourself! They will even send you a free DVD that really shows what its like. We can't wait to go again!
