Normally an active and energetic child will feel hungry and will ask for food. So, I feel it is a case of overanxiety on the part of the parent or grandparent. If the child is doing poorly, consult a pediatrician.

drink a lot of water do not let her dehydrate.
do you just feed her of dop you eat with her?
it is ok to play with the food (a little and on your plate)
make it fun. and set an example.
encourage her when she eats if she finishes, hip hip hoorray!, a hug, brag to your friends that she ate well today.

There's lots of pills and drug you can take. But i do suggest its better for you to take multivitamins that rich with B-complex. Its really help a lot.

you should se a pediatrician immediately; they can give you ideas on how to get past this, and if necessary can feed the child intraveniously if she is in a degenerative state...GOOD LUCK!

Dont! you are gonna change her metabolism. Maybe the lost of appetite is because of stress or anxiety.
