ok we just got a saint bernard, still at the pet shp but we cant find things anywhere for him. we got a collar but it seem like things are so limited for larger dogs. is there a site or something i can go to? im looking for things like a bed, that is not too small for him to lay on. and a leash i have found a leash or too but alot of them say are for dogs up to a certain weight, this dog will get to be between 160-200. we have been lokoing online but cant find anything, if anyone could help us out we would be very thankful!

HI! I found this pet store in Portland Maine that's just wonderful!!! It's called Planet Dog, they have the most wonderful toys and dog accessories I've ever seen and everything is made to last! Plus they are having a sale right now! My Golden's love their Toy balls (they come in all very different shapes and sizes)and Some very nice collars and leads. My Golden's are 85-90 pounds, I know your pup will be bigger when he's fully grown.

As far as beds go I'd wait for that because some dogs just don't like them. If your really wanting one then visit Dr's.Foster& Smith.com they have a large selection of dog beds. So does L.L.Bean.com

If you haven't tried the major pet supply stores (Petsmart, Petco, etc) be sure you look there first. If they don't have anything, look for St Bernard groups or breeders online and find out where they get stuff. I'm guessing you've tried searching Google or Dogpile for "St Bernard supplies" or some such thing. If not, try that, too.

go to www.futurepet.com they sale alot of big dog stuff.i own 2 english mastiffs and you are right it is very hard to find stuff for ex-large dogs.for a leash i use a 6ft braided horse lead.go to your local feed store and pick up a horseball with the handle on it.pets stores sell one for dogs but the one for horses are bigger and more durable.he will love soccerballs when he gets bigger.when he's a pup you can give him the soft kongs but when he gets about 6-8 months you will need to get the black kong.futurepet.com sells 24inch rawhide bones for when he gets bigger and they also sell beds for them.they also dog collars for anysize dog.hope this helps.

we are getting a mastiff and have had the same problem.. most of the things we bought, we got at Petsmart. Dont get a retractable leash get a good sturdy leather one. It may be shorter but you dont want him too far from you anyway. good luck
