Cakes don't always have to have sour cream in it, you could add milk or even Orange juice. It might come out a little bit springy and a little dry but it will still taste good. If it comes out dry warm up some OJ and a littel sugar on the stove untill desolved then while still warm pour it over your cake. that way your cake will be moist and yummy

Try some plain yogurt. It has a little wang like the sour cream, and it will add the same texture and moisture the recipe needs. Good luck!

It really depends on what you have...you can use one egg, or
3/4 c. buttermilk
1 env. plain gelatin
1 c. cottage cheese
1/4 c. cold water

Soften gelatin in the water. Heat buttermilk and softened gelatin in top of a double boiler until gelatin is dissolved. Cool slightly, add cottage cheese and process all in a blender until smooth. Refrigerate.

or 1/4 c. non fat milk powder
1/2 c. cold water
8 oz. uncreamed cottage cheese
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix together milk and water and blend well with cottage cheese. Mix in lemon juice and salt. Keep refrigerated until needed.

plain yogurt should work.
Or mayonnaise if you're really stuck....

Or even applesauce actually, the sour cream is probably in there to keep the cake moist.
