First, you have to remember that no matter how bad things may be, they can ALWAYS get worse. My sister in law has PCOS so I know what you're talking about, not feeling good about yourself. She's self conscious about even acting like a girl, but she's the best friend I've got. Don't listen to what other people say; live to make yourself happy because you're the one living your life, and the only one who can make it worth while. Why were you self confident before? Was it because you were pretty, or for other reasons? So you shave. Big deal, you're still the same person, with the same interests and convictions. The same heart beats in your chest. You are you, and no matter what you look like, you are brimming with beauty when you believe in yourself as a person.

Hey, cheer up. When there's a problem there is always a solution. I would suggest investigating a laser treatment. I've been getting my legs done for the past year and it's pretty awesome. With in a week of the first treatment the hair fell out completely and it remained gone for a month and eventually it will be gone completely if I would just keep going to the appointments. I know it can be expensive but I waited till they had a sale so now I only have to pay $75 per treatment. I suggest you investigate it because it seems to be a fix for your main problem. I know lots of people say you should love the way that you are, which I do agree with, but I understand that it can be a problem and if you fix it then you'll gain the confidence to enact all the change you want. Best wishes.

I understand where your coming from. I am female as well and i have kind of a big nose. its so discomforting and i shy myself from people noticing. But you need to remember you are beautiful no matter what. If its something you have no control over, it isn't your fault but its happening for a reason. It helps to look into the miror and say 5 nice things about the way you look everyday. and try some of the products out there. but nothing could be as beautiful as the person inside of you. Just have faith and realize that your beauty is unique and you should let it run free. Just remember the best beauty trick is to be happy. Whenever you are happy. you hold more beauty within than any super model out there. God Bless.

Dear lady, the world is UGLY! But do not let it cause you to be ugly! If you feel that you have issues, consider this: While in Vietnam, I saw a woman whose brain had grown out side of her scalp and hung down over her face in a pouch!
Recently, they had a 12 year old girl on TV and the front of her face was over 22 inches from the back of her head! Her head was so heavy; she had to hold it up with both her hands. They operated on her more than 20 times, trying to rebuild her face!
A different person had a tumor on their back that was larger than a twin bed mattress! Every year, children are born that age and die before their 12th birthday! Nature’s ugliness abounds!
I do not write this to tell you that you have no issues, only to say that you are, like all the rest of us, one of GODS children!
Everyone has a cross to carry, to help yourself, learn to play the flute/violin/oboe or viola.
Too, take martial arts, tykwan do. Your music would be the voice of your beauty; the art would give you both strength and confidence against those who would harm you! You must learn to ware your physicall issues as a badge of honor!
Take back your hour glass figure, lower your eyes for no one! Hold your head high and your shoulders straight! The beauty of a person is not what you see; it is from what comes from with in.
Where do you see peace and beauty in the world, today? Every place is over shadowed with brutality, war, violence, crime, hate, abuse of every kind! From where should come the respect, love, acceptance that you deserve along with all the rest of us, too, those that are black?
Feeling sorry for your self is never the answer!
Never let the PIG tell you how to live, do not go near it otherwise you will get mud and filth on your nice self! But be kind to the pig, throw it an ear of corn, then stand back and watch it grabbled in the mud!

Sorry your going through this, but maybe you need to talk to someone like a therapist on the way you are feeling. Sounds like you may be a little depressed. About the hair you can always have it waxxed. It will stay gone for 4-6 weeks. Keep you chin up gorgeous!!!!!

You'll be surprised how many people are in the same situation, including me... don't ever give up on yourself and never let people let you down, specially your 16 year old sister... do what I do start taking care of yourself better as much as you can... eat healthy, exercise, wax that beard till you can afford to get a laser... =]

My heart goes out to you -- you're awfully young to be dealing with this! I know that there are treatments with hormones, and there are cosmetic procedures for hair removal. There are specialists out there who should be able to point you in the right direction.
In the meantime, hang out with friends -- true friends won't care if you have facial hair. This is a cliche, but it's true: The true measure of a person's worth is what's inside your heart, not on your skin! AND, as my grandma used to say, "This, too, shall pass." When you get this under control, you'll be able to put this behind you. Hopefully, you can put your sister's ugliness towards you behind you, too.

If you don't love yourself, you have no motivation to get your illness treated and get control of your life again.
Don't hate yourself, hate your disease. Fight it with all the strength of that hate, so that you can come out the other side healthy and strong, and work your way back to the beautiful self you know you can be.

there's more to you than just your physical appearance. you should try to recognize your positive attributes and focus a little more on that.
you seem like a beautiful person, who has a lot to offer the world. don't let all that hidden potential go to waste. talk to a therapist or find a support group on the web.
