flip a coin. heads- represents your genes, and tails- represents your partners genes. if you have the sims 2, go to create-a-sim, create you and your partner and select "make a child" and it will simulate what your kids could possibly look like. hope this helps!

you can figure up certain percentages with some degree of accuracy for certain traits. for example, if you have blue eyes and your hubby has blue eyes--there's a 100% chance you kids will have blue eyes. if you have blue eyes and he has brown eyes (and one of his parents has blue eyes)--there's a 50% chance your kids will have blue eyes. certain genes are recessive (i.e. blue eyes, blond hair, fair skin, etc.) while others are dominant (i.e. dark eyes, dark hair, dark skin, etc.). i'm oversimplifying it no doubt but hopefully you get the picture. i hope that answers your question. it's a gamble--but i'm sure your kids will be beautiful.
