becareful or you will find out youve almost hit a foul but al anwser yes he sure does play favorites why else would all the oil end up in the middle east..

God does not play favorites. If He did He wouldn't bless atheists as well as Christians, nor would he allow Christian's as well a atheist to go through hard time.
If He did play favorites He would favor the Christians and all other religions and non believers would convert just to benefit from His favoritism. God want sincere, committed followers and not those that are just looking for His like He is a genie in a lamp.

God has no favorites- He loves all the same- that is why He says GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD- not just a few select people. There are people that He seems closer to though, and I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that is the person's choice not Gods. We can be as close to God as we desire to be. He says all who seek Him will find Him. That person that seems to be loved by God more, really is not. That person has chosen to love God above all else, and that is a close relationship you see.

It is hard to reconcile why so many innocent lives are lost and bad guys get away if God does pick and choose, but we are taught that the innocent don't just die but get to live in Heaven longer!
