I can assure you that in won't in many circumstances. It's only when you try to borrow credit (eg home loan) that it might affect you.
Even then if both of you are working and he's been working on rebuilding his credit, you should be alright.

no it will not affect your credit. i just would not put anything in both of your names if you marry a person with poor credit.

No, your personal credit rating won't be affected but when you're using credit as a couple such as buying a house your JOINT credit will be lower than your personal credit is now.
