First, not all people are mean. I'm sure you have some specifics in mind. Many people have self-worth issues. By bullying or being mean, they cut you down to make themselves feel better. You might be wondering how to respond to someone when they behave like that. If they say or do something mean to you. Remind yourself that by not retaliating, you ARE the better person. The fact that they feel they have to resort to meanness tells you that they probably don't like themselves very much. If it's really bad, find a way to extract yourself from the situation - WITHOUT BEING MEAN

Sometimes people are mean at a certain moment because they are not feeling good about their lives. Be nice and smile to these kind of people and they might surprise you. If they are still mean leave them alone and find someone else to interact with.

ppl that are mean are just insucure and they dont like them selves so they just think that theycan make fun of other ppl are just be mean. my dad decided that he didnt want to talk to me anymore he was so mean and ust not a good father. he doesnt like himself and he cant livewith himself. hope this answers your question!!
