My coworker and I were out drinking one night and right before she left she asked me when we were gonna make out, but haven't discussed it since...Then another night while drinking, a male coworker kept insisting that this girl and I were hooking up and said that everyone at work thinks we are hooking up. In response to this she said, since everyone thinks that we are hooking up, we should hook up. I just looked at her and smiled with approval. But since she is seeing another guy I don't really take her seriously. Why would a girl that is involved with someone say this?

She probably does like you and because she is in a relationship doesn't feel comfortable telling you outside the bar. "The urges you would feel if sober are the ones you will more likely act upon if intoxicated." (Myers, pg.294) She could be getting over her current boyfriend. I think you should just wait and see. If you like her don't push the subject or she might get embarrassed.

Alcohol tends to loosen up our inhibitions. Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker, as the expression goes. Other reasons include, (1) She is looking for a one night stand, (2) She needs to win the office pool, or (3) She is trying to make her bf jealous so that he will pay more attention. Notice that none of the above have anything to do with you. Enough said.

she is interested in you, but knows its wrong to act on it since she is dating someone else. she says these things while being drunk because she can use the drinking as an excuse for being more vocal about it. If you are interested you should just tell her, its obviously on her mind. But dont be an ***, make sure she handles things with her bf first.

If she's being serious with you then she's not serious with who she is seeing and vice versa. Sounds like she needs to get herself together and stop confusing others.
