How come all the super-markets, garages and corner shops will still have huge supplies of bottled water. Much of which comes from Natural springs and spars in England,Scotland and Wales. Should these companies also stop draining the springs and spars, which before bottled water would have naturally filled our streams and rivers. Or is it just yet another con so that we all have to pay even more money for drinking water

Has the hosepipe ban actually been lifted from last year yet?!

I always ignore it anyway, I pay my water rates, I'll use the damn water!

Surely the hosepipe ban doesn't apply to drinking water...? So what's the one got to do with the other?

I might point out that companies are only draining these springs and spas (note spelling) because mug-like consumers are willing to pay a pound a litre (or whatEVER) for bottled water, instead of drinking what comes out of the tap, which is virtually identical in all respects, apart from price.

And putting water meters in everyone's house would actually mean you only paid for the water that arrived on your property, and not all the water that had leaked out of the pipework on the way there. It might actually form the basis for an external auditing system, because then we could see exactly how efficiently these water companies were delivering the water to us...

The hose pipe ban is still in force in some area's what the greedy toe rags who run the water companies want is every house having a water meter that way they can increase their profits as you will be paying for every drop that you use
