I'm having surgery tomorrow and I'm getting a general. I don't want to be all... weird... for too long after the surgery.

deep breathing, frequent repositioning, lots of fluids will flush the toxins from your body more quickly, than just laying like a lump in the bed, so when the nurses tell you to do so, don't moan, and groan, it's for your benefit.

Tell both your doctor who will be doing the surgery and the anesthesiologist that you have problems with anesthesia. I never had a problem with it before my C-section, I had a spinal. It was then that I started with nausea afterward. Now when I tell the docs that, they put something in the IV that stops it. Perhaps there are other things they can do too. Good luck! I hope it works out well.

you'll be in too much pain from the surgery to be all weird from the anesthetic. believe me. you'd rather be all weird from the pain killers.
