If you are going to see him soon of course it wll work out. True love can never be broken. And if he finds someone else he was probaly a basterd anyways. And if he still loves you after all those miles then he must be a prince charming!

A long distance relationship is hard. You have to be patient and be positive a lot more than in a close one. If you are saying is it possible to love someone you have never actually met, then I have to say prob not. But, if you have met this person and you are both committed to making it work, then there should be no prob. Talk daily and when you do get to spend time together, make the most of every minute. You can't afford to waste any time. Good luck and hope it works for you.

The big romantic that I am, I'd say yes. It is a treacherous path, but it is not impossible. Keep the communication lines open and for all that you know, the two partners can be half the way across the world from each other and still love each other. Of course physical intimacy will be missing, but that isn't what true love is all about is it? I have seen this system work in two families and it is really amazing....

It depends on the couple and how well the relationship is going. I was in a long distance relationship for about a year and a half and it just didn't work out for me. Every person is different. Something that might work for one couple may or may not work for another. I personally don't think that they work in the long run, but that's just from the experience that I had. If you think that you can handle it, go for it, but if you don't think that you can trust or handle being away from your partner, it may not be the best idea to do.

Yes I think it can work! I am currently in a long distance relationship. He lives about 3 hours away from me and both of our schedules are very busy.We try to see each other as often as we can.It is really hard becuase a lot of the time i just really want to spend time with him and be with him but it is going very well for us.We both trust each other very much and dont worry to much about the other one being dishonest. I love him to death and really hope we can make the long distance thing work. Good Luck to You!

Well it worked for my husband and I. I lived in Ft. Wayne and he lived in Indpls. We talked on the phone and sent mail daily and then spent the weekends together. This lasted for about 3 months, and we'll celebrate our first wedding anniversary on March 12. Good luck. Plus remember all of those wonderful people who are waiting for their significant other to come home from overseas. How long distance is that!

If it is meant to be then it will work out. Also if both parties are willing to put in the HUGE amount of work it takes for a long distance relationship then it has a greater chance.

Sure, if you are both trustful, and honest to each other, and be faithful to each other, then I think anything can work. It's just that most long distance relationships usually don't last, because someone was being unfaithful, and just lost interest.

personally...

i think it probably can work if it IS real love =]
for example, me and my ex were in a long distance relationship for like...5 months because of Hurricane Katrina (we were in different places for evacuation), and even though we were far apart, we would call each other and write letters....and we were still in love, we trusted each other...
i think it will work, if two people both believe in it, i guess that's one of the miracles of "real love"

hope this helps !

I just tried it not long ago, hate to say it but NO. If it is a temporary situation, it might work. It is very, very difficult. Better off moving on, instead of dragging out the inevitable. Very stressful and heartbreaking when you prolong it.
