This might sound chesy but try telling him that he's not your type and he should find someone better for himself and if your in school tell him your parents won't let you date!

Guys always want to know "why not?" Because we want to know why you are rejecting us. We feel we have a right to know because we made the effort to ask you out in the first place. Asking a girl out is not an easy thing to do - even for confident and good-looking guys. Because every time we do it, we run the risk of rejection and rejection is hard to take.

So if a guy asks "why not" just say something to him that makes sense - ideally you'll give him an honest answer. You can tell him you have a boyfriend or if he isn't your type just tell him so. You might think that would hurt his feelings but many guys would prefer to know the truth as to why you said "no". I know I would want to know. There have been times when a girl told me "I have a boyfriend" when I asked her out and I think she might have been lying. I would have preferred for her to tell me that I wasn't her type, etc.

Yea this happens to all of us. When a guy says why not? He thinking there is sumthin wrong wit him! And usually when a guy asks me i say:

*If we have already gone out before (and he broke up wit me)
Uve broke up wit me once and youll do it again.

**If he is just sum guy *nothin special*
Im already in a relationship
Im not lookin for a relationship rite now
I barely know u

So yea it really depends on the situation tat ur in

Rejection is a huge blow to our pride, we want to know why we are being rejected maybe it's something that can be fixed. No is an insufficient answer for being rejected any reason may it be something small gives us closure on the subject and helps us to understand why we being rejected. Have you ever been rejected. Remember though your not obligated to give a reason, i think it's a good gesture though.

Yeah, just tell him you don't want to. I think they say it because they need closure and are a little insecure and are putting their heart on the line when they finally decide to ask someone out.

he want to know what is wrong with him or his approach. Did he say something stupid or is he just ugly? If you tried something and it didn't work wouldn't you want to know why? That is all he is after a reason so in the future he will not make the same mistakes.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean....its awkward when they ask why not, because its so uncomfortable.

I think it's just a blow to their ego, so they would like to know what they need to improve on to increase their chances of getting dates lol.

sometimes i think it's because they need an assurance that it's not them and there's some other reason you can't go out with them like you have a bf already

She just looked down and said she wasn't ripe and ready yet, and I came back and said, but I smell fish.
