When you read the Constitution of these United States, you will read "We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are CREATED equal, with certain unlienable rights. (We have certain rights that come from God). Now you have federal Judges with no right, changing what this document means and we are losing rights every day!! In this country we have judges citing world laws to prosecute someone. I don't know about you, if ever i am being accused of something, I want my rights as defined in our Constitution and not by the laws of some third rate country that doesn't have a Constitution! Among our rights is the right to bear arms. Our Founding Fathers put that in there so we could protect ourselves if our government went bad! If everyone was allowed to carry a concealed weapon, how many assaults would there be? How many homes would be broken into, knowing that the owner has a loaded weapon and isn't afraid to use it. These rights come because we are a country founded on Christian Beliefs!! Thank you for letting me vent.

Not at all. Weve tried theocracies before and believers realize the dangers and temptation of absolute politcal power and how much it corrupts the church. If I was made emperor tommorrow, the only thing i would change is outlawing abortion. It is a fundamental disrespect for human life. I realize the value of democracy and freedom and I believe people should be allowed to have their own pursuits as long as it doesnt harm others. (like abortion)

By the way the words separation of church and state do not appear in the constitution. The only thing it says in there is that the Govt cannot establish religion.

God, yes, but probably not the all the things you note and some others you missed.

America is filled with gun nuts, both christian and non. To me as a european it seems a little scary. If guns made people safe the US would be the safest nation in the world.

Free speech > out the window. Heavy fines for blasphemy.

freedom of religion > out the window. Christianity or bust.

Homosexuality > stoning

Abortion > stoning

well, you know their agenda.

Who do you think invented the Dark Ages? When Christians has power they came up with gems such as the Crusades, Inquisition, Witch burnings, and suppressing science. Why do you think the Founding Fathers separated church (religions) and state?

NO. They would allow any freedom that was restricted to things Christian, like freedom to go to the christian bookstore, or to only pay interest in banks if you are not christian (after all, a chrisitna is not allowed to charge another one interest, you know?).... Freedom to take off Easter, or also the day before to help the kids decorate...
All other freedoms, well, yeah, many Christian leaders are against those..

You do realize that "Freedom of Religion" (you can worship who/whatever you want) and "Sepration of Church and State" (no religion of any kind is promoted) are opposite things right?

Would you prefer the freedoms allowed in non-Christian countries like Iran or China instead?

Such as the right to bear arms
--No

the right to free speach
--No, but there would be a sizeable minority that would think so

the right to freedom of religion
--You would be able be a non-Christian but you'd see a lot more blatant Christianity

I don't think so. Many of our founding fathers responsible for creating the Constitution were Christian men. These men drafted the document in order to protect ALL of our freedoms while at the same time seeking to bring glory to God!

God Bless!

Yes.

But surprisingly, the right to bear arms we would probably keep.

But you'd see a lot of currently granted or guaranteed rights fall by the wayside.

Robertson and Falwell are the extremes in a sometimes shady evangelical movement. But most evangelicals aren't that bad.
