A good vet will. we had our dog put to sleep at home last year. It was so much less stressful for him to go to sleep in his own home rather that being taken to the vets which he hated.

My thoughts are with you.

Is it a deadly illness, because if not, I beg you to get teh medical attention it needs.

This is very unlikely that at Vet will make house calls; though depending on your vet and where you live it could be a possiblity. Most likely, your vet wll require you to bring in the animal and most even let you hold the animal so that he or she is more comfortable while the injection is being given. This way you and the cat can spend his or hers last few minutes together before meeting with his or her maker.

Best of luck.

It depend on your vet. My vet will come out during the day but at night the is only normally one vet on call so need to be near the surgury incase an emergency comes in. There'll be at least a £25 call out depending on your vet whether they come out or you go in.

Phone your vet and ask. If your cat is suffering it needs help straight away. If it were me I'd be sorting it out now.

If it's not deathly ill, then PLEASE! don't have it put to sleep. Modern medicine will suprise you, there may be a fix for what is wrong with it. What is wrong with it to make you want to have it put to sleep? Some vets will come to your home, some won't. I guess it depends on the doctor. My dog was put to sleep 31, May 2005. He was 14 1/2 yrs old. I miss him. I was real upset until I got my present dog.

if you want them too. a good vet knows what they are doing and if your cat is very ill i'd suggest putting it to sleep. I'm very sorry about your cat.

Yes. Some vets still do house calls. It is just a matter of finding what vet will do it.

I think you will probably have to take it to the vet, the best way to find out is to call the vet and ask.

What is wrong with the cat? You should take it to a vet immediatly if it is ill and see what they think needs to be done. IF the cat is not seriously ill and in pain, there is no reason to kill it.
